How To Handle Volatile Liquid

1.Compared with the viscous liquid mentioned in the previous article, volatile liquid may be more common to the small partners in the biological laboratory, such as alcohol of various concentrations. When volatile liquid volatilizes in the internal air column of the suction head-pipette, it will significantly increase the internal pressure of the pipette, destroy the balance of internal and external pressure, and cause liquid to drip out of the suction head.

2.In view of this situation, we can make the internal part of the suction head in the state of some volatile liquid by wetting and washing the suction head several times in advance, so as to make the air pressure balance during the formal liquid transfer more durable.

3.In the same way, reverse pipetting and replacement of external piston pipette can also be handled.
